Flying is one of mankinds greatest desires. And although you never really “fly” in that common sense, one could assume that floating through the woods while being kissed by the light of the morning sun or having an afternoon packed with action riding those hills and tracks gets pretty close to the experience of flying. Follow Ludwig on his path through magical forests at dawn and exciting pump tracks just before the sun sets again.

While shooting their new film, two best friends quickly realize that the reality on the mountain – at up to 18 degrees below zero – brings hurdles they had not anticipated while planning at home. Challenges on a technical, but also physical level force them to abandon the project. When the sun reappears above the horizon after a freezing night, motivation gradually returns. The two recognize that nature had a different plan for them and decide to follow this new path.

In May 2021 I put on the first pair of (pretty shitty) FPV goggles and I already knew back then, that this will become one of my main passions in filmmaking. A year later I can look back to a few pretty gnarly flights, some broken drones, some nearly lost drones, and even some drone racing sessions with fellow pilots. Nevertheless, the main objective for flying FPV in my case is to get those shots that would not be possible otherwise. Hence I invite you to enjoy a collection of my favorite FPV-shots from this past year. More will come in the future!

When hardcore skiers go ski touring they usually place emphasis on two aspects: the most effortless ascent and an exhilarating descent. That’s exactly what we had in mind as we developed the new Transalp ski touring boots. Two different worlds are combined, in a way that’s never been experienced before: the stability and downhill power of alpine boots plus the minimal weight and agility of ski touring boots.

Flying at one of my favorite spots in the austrian alps and exploring my surroundings. Some of those flights were really nerve wrecking as this was my first time flying long range; would’ve been a looong hike in case I managed to kiss a rock. Fortunately, the only crash was near me 🥳

The film accompanies two hikers and mountaineers as they take their environmental awareness to the next level on their third long-distance hike over several hundred kilometers, claiming to be plastic-free, carbon-neutral and as waste-free as possible. Both in Spanish and French towns and on mountain passes almost 3,000 meters high, they find out how practicable their idea is and what radical restrictions await them in terms of nutrition, comfort and everyday hiking.
